Ola Electric Inaugurates Its First Hypercharger At Future Factory

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to Twitter to showcase the company’s first hyper charger.

Ola claims the hypercharger network will be the widest and densest electric two-wheeler charging network in the world, with more than 100,000 charging points across 400 cities. In the first year alone, Ola will be setting up over 5,000 charging points across 100 cities in India.

The Ola Scooter can be charged 50% in just 18 minutes for a 75-kilometre range .

Ola said hyper chargers will be widely deployed across cities and will be found in city centres and dense business districts as standalone towers as well as in popular locations such as malls, IT parks, office complexes, cafes and more.

Ola launched its S Series of electric scooters, starting at Rs 99,999. The company had earlier said it would begin scooter deliveries from this month. It was supposed to start taking the final payment of S1 and S1 pro from October 18 and begin deliveries from October 25.

Ola Electric on Wednesday said it is on track to hand over scooters within the “specific delivery window” announced earlier and has decided to take final payment for the booked units of its electric scooter S1 after initiating test drives for customers from November 10.
