Tata Motors Expands EV Charging Network: 25,000 Public Chargers Now Accessible for Electric Small Commercial Vehicles

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, today announced a major milestone in promoting sustainable mobility. Over 25,000 public charging stations are now available for electric small commercial vehicles (SCVs), supporting customers across more than 150 cities, including Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. These chargers are strategically positioned at key logistics hubs, helping last-mile delivery operators enhance range confidence, operational efficiency, and profitability.

To further strengthen the charging ecosystem, Tata Motors has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 13 leading Charging Point Operators (CPOs) to install and operate 25,000 additional chargers over the next 12 months. Both existing and new charger locations will be integrated with Fleet Edge, Tata Motors’ connected vehicle platform, allowing customers real-time navigation and charger availability for smooth operations. The agreements have been signed with the following CPOs: A Plus Charge, Ampvolts, chargeMOD, Charge Zone, Electric Fuel, Envo The Sustainer, EV Spot Charge, Kazam, Nikol EV, Sonik Mobility, Thunderplus Solutions, Volttic, and Zeon Electric.

Commenting on the achievement, Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head – SCVPU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said, “Crossing the 25,000 public charging station mark is a significant step in our journey to accelerate electric cargo mobility. With over 10,000 Ace EVs already on the road covering more than 6 crore kilometres, customers and transporters are increasingly recognizing the benefits of four-wheel electric commercial vehicles. Our latest offering, the Ace Pro EV, is rapidly gaining traction with advanced features tailored to urban and semi-urban cargo transport requirements.”

He added, “While we continue to innovate and deliver high-performance electric vehicles, we are equally committed to expanding infrastructure access through strategic partnerships. Collaborating with India’s foremost Charging Point Operators reflects our commitment to building a strong support network and enabling cost-effective, zero-emission logistics solutions for entrepreneurs and transporters across the country.”

Tata Motors’ electric SCV portfolio includes the Ace Pro EV, Ace EV, and Ace EV 1000, each designed to meet the diverse cargo needs of urban and semi-urban businesses. Offering multiple load deck configurations and payload options, these vehicles ensure operational flexibility while maintaining high performance and reliability. All models are rigorously tested across demanding terrains and varied operating conditions.

To ensure high vehicle uptime and faster turnaround, Tata Motors has also set up over 200 dedicated EV support centres across India, offering dependable service and technical assistance to its expanding customer base.
