In a major step for green transport, Tata Power has expanded its ultra-fast EV charging network on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway through its EV arm, in partnership with Indian Oil Corporation. The new stations aim to make long-distance EV travel faster, easier and more reliable for drivers across India.
Ultra-fast chargers installed in Haryana
The expansion has been carried out by Tata Power EV Charging Solutions. As part of the rollout, ultra-fast charging stations have been set up at the 63rd and 69th milestones on the Haryana stretch of the expressway.
A 240 kW ultra-fast charging station with four charging guns has been installed at the 63rd milestone for vehicles travelling from Delhi. Another station has been set up at the 69th milestone on the opposite side of the road, allowing EV users to charge in both directions while travelling.
These stations are designed to support multiple vehicles at the same time, serving both private electric cars and commercial EVs.
Expanding India’s EV charging network
Tata Power’s EV charging network, branded as EZ Charge, has grown rapidly across the country. It now includes over 2 lakh home chargers, 6,700+ public, semi-public and fleet charging points, and more than 1,200 e-bus charging stations spread across 690+ cities and towns.
The company also has over 5 lakh registered EV users. Its charging points are placed in key locations such as highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, bus depots, commercial hubs and residential complexes, helping build a wider and more accessible EV ecosystem in India.
