Svitch CSR 762 Electric Bike To Hit Market In 90 Days

Svitch MotoCorp has announced that it will bring out its first electric motorcycle– the CSR 762–- in the market within the next 90 days. The motorcycle was showcased almost two years ago and was scheduled to make its debut in August 2022. However, things did not fall in place for the Ahmedabad-based technology startup.

The company claims to have received investments worth over Rs 100 crore for the development of this electric motorcycle. Speaking on the same, Chintan Khatri, Chief Executive Officer, Svitch Motocorp, said, “This project showcases our dedication to ‘Make in India’ and contributes to the nation’s economic growth.”

Svitch CSR 762 highlights

Powered by a 3kW electric motor that puts out a peak output of 10 bhp (13.4 bhp) and 55 Nm torque, this electric motor derives energy from two swappable battery packs with combined capacity of 3.7 kWh that is supposed to return a range of 120 km on a full charge. As for performance, the bike can reach a top speed of 110 kmph.

Other specifications such as wheelbase stands at 1,430 mm and tips the scale at 155 kilograms. With a seat height of 780 mm, it will be an accessible motorcycle for the Indian masses. Moreover, there will be 6 riding modes on offer. Also, the startup is keen on setting up battery swapping joints for increased practicality.

In terms of features, the CSR 762 comes equipped with a built-in mobile charger, a covered mobile holder, and 40 litre boot space. Svitch claims to have established four exclusive showrooms in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The network will also support a battery swapping infrastructure for customers.
