The Indian EV maker Omega Seiki Mobility has launched Swayamgati, touted as the world’s first production-ready autonomous electric three-wheeler for urban and last-mile mobility. The passenger version is priced at ₹4 lakh, while the cargo variant goes for ₹4.14 lakh. The vehicle combines OSM’s electric 3-wheeler platform with an AI-enabled retrofit autonomous system, designed to run in structured environments like smart campuses, industrial parks, gated communities, and city zones.
Swayamgati completed its initial trial over a 3 km route with seven stops, demonstrating reliable navigation, obstacle detection, and safe passenger handling—without human control. With Phase 1 validated, the company is now gearing up for Phase 2, rolling the vehicle into controlled commercial operations. Built for Indian conditions, it uses LiDAR, multi-sensor navigation, and can function effectively in low-speed, dense traffic settings. OSM aims to produce around 1,500 autonomous three-wheelers over the next two years to meet expected demand.
