Magenta Mobility launches India’s First EV Charger With 12 Charging Outputs

Magenta Mobility announced the launch of PLENT, an innovative charging solution aimed at meeting the increasing demand for safe, intelligent, and cost-effective EV charging. PLENT will significantly reduce the cost per charging point, particularly benefiting fleet operators and residential societies.

PLENT is a special EV charger that will be the only one of its kind in India. It has 12 charging outputs, and each output can provide 3.3 kW of power. This will offer a a good ratio of cost per charging socket and a cost-effective way to charge electric vehicle.

Maxson Lewis, Founder and Director of Magenta Mobility, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch of PLENT: “We are excited to introduce PLENT, a revolutionary multi-charging product meticulously engineered in-house with remarkable features to enhance the EV charging experience while addressing the unique requirements of the Indian market.”
The charging times with PLENT range from 3 to 3.5 hours. The charger is designed to be reliable, with minimal downtime, and it has competitive pricing. It is suitable for charging different types of electric vehicles, including 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and 4-wheelers.

PLENT consists of two main parts: the Central Control Unit (CCU) and twelve Dispensing Units (DPUs). The CCU acts as the brain of the charger, while the DPUs serve as the heart. This setup ensures that charging electric vehicles is efficient and hassle-free, especially for operators of electric vehicle fleets.

PLENT also has built-in features to monitor the temperature and protect the charging process. This ensures that the charging performance is optimal while keeping users safe. The charger doesn’t require any additional switchgear for safety measures, making it convenient to use.

Compliant with OCPP 1.6 standards, the charger can connect with various charging networks, ensuring interoperability. Additionally, PLENT offers other benefits such as over-the-air (OTA) updates and a user-friendly 7″ touch display, enhancing usability and guaranteeing that charging stations are always equipped with the latest enhancements and features.

The real-time data tracking and storage capabilities enable analysis and monitoring of charging logs, facilitating efficient management of charging operations.
