Glida to Outlay INR 100 Crores For Installing EV Charging Stations Across India

Glida is available in 15 states, 6 highways with over 450 charging points spanned throughout various charging options comprising CCS, DC001 and Type 2.

Fortum Charge & Drive India has transformed into a brand identity known as ‘Glida’. This was incorporated by renewed vision and a strengthened boost to sustainable mobility, with new and innovative solutions in the EV charging infrastructure.

Fortum was established in 2017 and presently owns 450 charging stations in India, with a network spread overview of 3000 charging stations all over the nation by March 2023.

Speaking upon the latest development, Awadhesh Kumar Jha, Executive Director, Glida, added, “We are excited to unveil our new brand identity Glida, which demonstrates what we stand for – ‘freedom to move without any barriers or hesitation’. our purpose to create a robust runway for the swift take-off of electric mobility into mainstream.”

He further said, “We are very clear in our mind that expansion of charging infrastructure should precede growth in EV sales.”

Fortum India, now Glida, is operating on installing drive-in charging hubs for its users at prominent public centers including malls, parks, etc.

The company presently operates six such charging hubs in the nation and aims to add 12 more by the end of this year.
