Citroen has commenced exports of locally manufactured electric vehicles (EVs) to international markets. The first batch of made-in-India e-C3s was recently shipped to Indonesia.
The Citroen e-C3 uses a 29.2 kWh battery pack, offering an ARAI-certified range of 320 km. It powers a front-mounted electric motor that develops 56 BHP and 143 Nm. The car can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 107 km/h.
Aditya Jairaj, CEO & MD of Stellantis India, said, “India is not only a strategic market but also a major sourcing hub for vehicles, components, and mobility technologies within the Stellantis Group.”
Lise Talbot Barre, Consul General of France in Pondicherry and Chennai, believes the export of the e-C3 to Indonesia is a significant step towards promoting cleaner mobility in the ASEAN region.
Besides the pure-electric e-C3, Citroen also exports the petrol version to ASEAN and African markets.
