China to Help Promote Electric Vehicles in Punjab

Provincial Transport Minister Ibrahim Hassan Murad met with the officials of Chinese Electric Dynamic Company while Federal Minister for Trade and Commerce Gohar Ejaz accompanied him.

In the meeting, the promotion of electric vehicles in Punjab and the comprehensive network of bike chargers in Punjab were discussed. The provincial minister said that he was sure that with the help of China, Punjab would become an ideal province for electric vehicles, while electric charger points would be made at 50 different places in City.

Ibrahim Murad said that China’s cooperation, environmental pollution in Punjab would be controlled. In another meeting, he discussed with China Metallurgical Company about Chiniot Iron Ore Project, while the Chinese company expressed interest in investing $1.3 billion in Punjab. Ibrahim Murad said that a revolution and development would be brought in the mining sector of Punjab. However, the Chinese company’s project will provide employment opportunities while with the help of China, the mining sector will boost further.

 

CBD Punjab projects termed key to growth

Chairman Planning & Development (P&D) Board Punjab Iftikhar Ali Sahoo said the projects initiated by CBD Punjab showcase a promising future for Punjab’s economic prosperity. He said this during his visit to Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) here on Thursday.

P&D chairman’s visit to the CBD Punjab Complex was arranged to discuss CBD Punjab’s ongoing and forthcoming projects and their pivotal role in the economic development of Punjab. During the visit, CBD Punjab CEO Imran Amin provided comprehensive insights into the current and prospective projects undertaken by the authority. The commercial and technical teams of CBD Punjab underscored the significance of authority’s projects such as Sirius, Regalia, Runway, Node and Sano, emphasising their transformative impact on Punjab’s development landscape.

While expressing his views Sahoo commended the projects initiated by CBD Punjab and assured unwavering support from the Planning & Development Board, recognising their potential to drive sustainable growth in the province. “We are committed to extending our support and collaboration to ensure their success”. Imran Amin while talking on the occasion said, “We appreciate the recognition of CBD Punjab’s projects by Chairman P&D Board Punjab, signifying our joint commitment to Punjab’s progress. Our projects embody our dedication to fostering sustainable prosperity in Punjab.”

The exchange of ideas and support between CBD Punjab and the Planning & Development Board underscored a shared vision for a sustainable growth of Punjab. The commitment displayed during this visit paves the way for continued collaboration, ensuring that CBD Punjab’s transformative projects serve as pillars of progress, driving positive change and prosperity throughout the region.

 

MoU signed

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) has signed an MoU with a private group. According to a press release, the purpose of this agreement is to improve, broaden and strengthen academia-industry linkages, to develop linkage for research, innovation, corporate training, to optimise the use and strengthening of laboratory facilities, to enhancing educational experience of students through industry visits, workshops, seminars, and conferences, to provide job placement, and financial support for final year project of students. UET Vice-Chancellor Dr Habib Ur Rehman and the private group CEO signed the MoU in the presence of Dean Faculty of Electrical Engineering Prof Dr M Shoaib, Director University Advancement and External Linkages Dr M Shafique, Registrar UET Muhammad Asif and Chief Marketing Officer DSG Energy Nazifa Fatima.
