2025 Simple One Electric Scooter Launched at Rs 1.66 Lakh in India, Claims 248 Km Range

Simple Energy has introduced updates to its flagship electric scooter, the Simple One. The latest Gen 1.5 variant offers an improved certified range of 248 km (IDC), surpassing the previous 212 km of the Gen 1 model, making it the longest-range electric two-wheeler in India. Available at Rs 1.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) with a 750W charger, the updated model will be available to new customers, with software upgrades provided to existing owners.

Speaking on the launch, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO, Simple Energy, said, ‘At Simple Energy, we believe in truly understanding our customers’ needs and constantly refining our products to keep up with them. Our journey started with five years of rigorous R&D before launching our first product, and our passion for innovation has only grown stronger since. We know how important it is for riders to have a mobility solution without the stress of range anxiety. That’s why our team has been hard at work, introducing new updates to the Simple ONE—enhancing key features and extending the range to make every ride even more efficient. We’re incredibly happy to introduce the Simple ONE Gen 1.5, a smarter, more efficient ride. With our expansion plans in motion, we can’t wait to bring the Simple experience to even more EV enthusiasts across the country.’

Simple One Gen 1.5: Other Updates

Apart from an extended range, the Simple One Gen 1.5 brings a fresh software experience with enhanced smart technology and connectivity features. The new app integration allows users to access real-time data, control functions remotely, view trip history, and monitor ride statistics. Riders can benefit from built-in turn-by-turn navigation, customisable dash themes, automatic brightness adjustment, and personalised tones/sound for a more tailored experience.

To boost efficiency and safety, the scooter now includes regenerative braking (up to 7 per cent), along with a rapid brake and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Convenience is further elevated by a park assist feature that enables forward and reverse movement. Additional features such as a “Find My Vehicle” function, guide me home lights, a USB charging port, and refined ride modes (Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic) enhance the overall practicality and usability of the scooter. With a storage capacity of more than 30 litres under the seat, the company asserts it offers the most spacious option in its category.
