Tata Motors Launches Ace EV 1000 for E-cargo

Tata Motors (NS:TAMO) (NYSE:TTM), India’s foremost commercial vehicle producer, has introduced the new Ace EV 1000, an electric mini-truck designed for last-mile deliveries. This latest addition to Tata’s electric vehicle (EV) lineup boasts a payload capacity of one tonne and a single-charge range of 161 kilometers, aiming to transform urban cargo transport with its zero-emission operation.

The Ace EV 1000 is backed by extensive customer feedback and is tailored to meet the demands of sectors including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), beverages, and dairy. With over 150 dedicated Electric Vehicle Support Centres nationwide, Tata Motors ensures comprehensive service coverage for its electric fleet.

Equipped with a sophisticated battery management system and the Fleet Edge telematics platform, the vehicle promises high uptime and efficient fleet management. The Ace EV is part of Tata’s UniEVerse ecosystem, which involves collaboration with other Tata Group companies and leading financiers to provide a complete e-cargo mobility solution.

Vinay Pathak, Vice President & Business Head – SCV&PU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, commented on the Ace EV’s performance, noting that customers have enjoyed a profitable and sustainable experience over the past two years. With the Ace EV 1000, Tata aims to extend these benefits to a broader customer base, contributing to a more sustainable future while emphasizing value and low ownership costs.

The electric mini-truck features the EVOGEN powertrain, ensuring a smooth driving experience, and comes with a 7-year battery warranty and a 5-year comprehensive maintenance package. It includes an advanced battery cooling system and regenerative braking to maximize range. The Ace EV is powered by a 27kW motor, delivering 130Nm of peak torque for superior pickup and grade-ability.

Tata Motors’ Ace EV 1000 is now available for purchase at commercial vehicle dealerships across India, offering various cargo deck configurations to suit different industry needs. This launch represents Tata Motors’ commitment to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio and supporting cleaner transportation solutions.
