Electric two-wheeler maker, Ola Electric received 3,000 booking orders for its newly launched Ola S1 Air.
Ola Electric’s Founder and CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, revealed this in a tweet.
Ola opened the booking window for its most affordable scooter, the S1 Air, one day in advance on July 27.
The scooter is available at an introductory price of Rs 1,09,999 for the Ola community and reservers who book the S1 Air before July 28.
The limited period purchase window will remain open between July 28-30. For all other customers, the purchase window will commence on July 31 at a revised price of Rs 1,19,999, with deliveries beginning in early August.
The S1 Air has a 3 kWh battery that offers 125 km range, much less than the S1 Pro’s certified range of 181 km. Its 4.5 kW motor offers 2.7 kW of power, and a top speed of 90 km/h, compared to the 116 km/h of the S1 Pro – as per the company, it can do a 0–60 km sprint in 5.7 seconds. According to the company, it can be fully charged in five hours with a home charger. The Ola S1 Air comes with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sports, but does not offer the Hyper mode that is available in its sibling.
Other than that, the Ola S1 Air offers LED headlamps and taillamps, a 7 inch instrument cluster with 800×480 pixels resolution, 34-litre boot space, Twin Telescopic front suspensions, Dual Shock rear suspensions, drum brakes, and steel wheels. The instument cluster offers some nifty features like navigation and music playback. With Ola app, you can remotely lock/unlock the scooter. The scooter is also quite lightweight, at just 108 kgs.
Ola S1 Air comes in six colours: Stellar Blue, Neon, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, and Midnight Blue. The company is also now offering Rs. 1,500 off on extended warranties.
