Okinawa Overtakes Hero, OLA To Become India’s No. 1 Electric Two Wheeler Brand

The sale of electric two wheelers in India has increased by 9.89 percent in terms of Month on Month (MoM). The country’s 8 top electric vehicle manufacturers sold a total of 38,693 units. These figures are for June 2022. At the same time, a total of 35,212 units were sold in May 2022. The electric two wheeler segment in India is slowly growing and customers are shifting to electric vehicles instead of conventional two wheelers.

Okinawa remained at number one in terms of selling the most electric two-wheelers. The company sold 6,976 units in June. However, compared to May, there was a decline of 21.51 percent in the sale of the company. The second number was Ampere, which sold 6,534 units. Compared to May, the company sold 1,005 units more. In May 2022, 5,529 units of the Ampere were sold.

No. 3 Hero Electric
Hero Electric stood at number three in terms of sales. Hero Electric sold 6,486 units in June 2022. In May, only 2,739 units of Hero were sold. Ola slipped to number four with 5,689 units. In June, only 5,698 units of Ola were sold. Ola’s sales saw a decline of 34.47 percent.

TVS iCube (Wholesale) was at number five. The company sold 4,667 units in June 2022. In May, the company had sold 2,637 units. SAIL registered 76.98 percent growth in June. At number six was Ather Energy with 3,797 units. Athar’s sale saw 22.56 percent sales as compared to May. Revolt stood at number 7 with 2,419 units sold. Revolt also registered positive sales and sold 52 percent more units as compared to May. Joy eBikes (Wholesale) came last with 2,125 units.
