Electric two-wheeler maker, BGauss has added a new electric scooter to its C12 series in India. Christened the C12i EX, the new e-scooter has been priced at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom) and is suitable for riding in the confines of the urban jungle.  

The BGauss C12i EX runs on a 2kWh lithium-ion battery that is removable and powers a 2.5kW motor. Producing 105Nm of peak torque, this motor is capable of achieving a top speed of 60kmph and it can climb a gradient of up to 14 degrees (without a pillion). The company says the battery and motor are completely waterproof and IP67-rated. Meanwhile, the ARAI-certified range of the scooter is 85km and the battery can be fully charged within three hours, as per BGauss. 

The design of the C12i EX is identical to the C12i Max which has been on sale for about three months now and has found 6,000 takers already. The scooter’s bodywork is simple with a round headlamp and sleek front apron and side panels with angular edges. It is available in six different colour options. As for the features, the C12i EX comes equipped with a 23-litre under seat storage space, a bottle holder at the front, lockable underfoot storage provision, a front luggage hook, a USB charging port, an LCD console, and two riding modes. Furthermore, the C12i EX is available with a five-year warranty.
