Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, a unit of Chalet Hotels Limited has been committed to sustainable initiatives since its inception. Guided by Marriott’s 2025 sustainability and social impact goals and Chalet Hotels Limited’s RE100, EP100, and EV100 initiatives linked to renewable electricity, energy efficiency, and electric mobility respectively, the hotel is proud to announce the activation of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station within the premises of the hotel. This would allow the esteemed guests the convenience of recharging their vehicles while they conduct business or rejuvenate themselves at the hotel’s numerous facilities.
The EV Charging Station was inaugurated dated 19th July 2022 by D. P. Mahendra, Environmental Officer, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Mahadevpura Division, along with Mustafa Wajid M.S, MD and CEO of Meher Group and Member of Advisory Board of Charge Zone, in the presence of Sanjay Sethi, CEO and Managing Director of Chalet Hotels Ltd.
The EV Charging Station is a 60 KW dual charger with 2 nos. simultaneous DC output of 30 kW DC Fast charging cable with Gun CCS2 type charging connector. This is the first Marriott hotel in Bengaluru that implemented an Electric Vehicle Charging Station.
