Log9 Materials And Hala Mobility Partner To Deploy 1,500 Fast-charging Electric Two-wheelers

Bengaluru based advanced battery technology startup, Log9 Materials has entered a strategic partnership with Hala Mobility India, a multimodal electric vehicle (EV) logistics services company headquartered in Hyderabad.

Hala Mobility will receive 1,500 electric two-wheelers, BzinessLite InstaCharged, produced by Log9 Materials as a result of this partnership. Log9 will also supply Hala Mobility with numerous rapid-charging stations to provide efficient charging options for their customers.

The electric two-wheelers will be deployed in a phased manner across Hyderabad, with a plan to add up to 300 e-2Ws per month until the end of 2023. The expansion will then proceed to major Indian cities including Mumbai, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru. The commercial electric vehicles (CEVs) will be used in various business-to-business (B2B) contexts such as e-commerce logistics, food delivery, and courier services in India’s last-mile logistics sector.

Hala Mobility aims to enhance its service offering by incorporating the BzinessLite 2W InstaCharged into their two-wheeler fleet. They expect this addition will result in a smoother and more efficient charging experience for their customers, subsequently improving their logistics operations. Log9 Materials will assist in charging, repairing, and servicing these electric bikes, ensuring that Hala Mobility’s customers have a trouble-free experience throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle.

Commenting on the partnership, Srikanth Reddy, Founder & CEO of Hala Mobility, highlighted the importance of providing diverse and customized solutions for EV users. Kartik Hajela, Co-Founder & COO of Log9 Materials, reiterated this commitment to improving urban transportation by transitioning last-mile logistics to electric vehicles.

In May 2023, Log9 introduced the BzinessLite, India’s fastest charging e-2W cargo vehicle, in collaboration with EV manufacturer Quantum Energy. The vehicle, which can be fully charged within 12 minutes due to Log9’s integration of Lithium-Titanium Oxide battery technology, has a range of 80-90 kilometers per charge and comes with a six-year or unlimited kilometers warranty.

The partnership between Log9, Quantum Energy, and Hala Mobility aligns with the shared objective of promoting clean and sustainable transportation. Log9 and Quantum Energy had previously announced a goal to deploy 10,000 2W InstaCharged EVs across India by March 2024. The new collaboration with Hala Mobility represents significant progress towards this target.
