Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has invited bids for the supply, erection, installation, and commissioning of 20 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at various locations under its jurisdiction.
The successful bidder will also be responsible for the charging station’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for three years from the contract’s signing date.
The scope of the work includes location survey, planning, designing, engineering, supply, testing, inspection, packing, transportation, delivery to the project site, unloading, handling and storage, erection, and commissioning of the charging equipment and any other allied work required for successful commissioning.
A total of 20 four-wheeler dual gun CCS2 (60 kW) DC plus 100 two/three-wheeler (3.3 kW) AC chargers are to be installed under the tender.
The last date to submit the bids is August 14, 2023. Bids will be opened on August 17.
Bidders must submit ₹500,000 (~$6,096) as an earnest money deposit. Also, the successful bidder must submit an amount equivalent to 1% of the accepted contract value as a security deposit.
The project’s estimated cost is ₹100 million (~$1.22 million).
The successful bidder should ensure that charging stations should be commissioned within four months from the date of the issuance of the letter of award.
To be eligible, bidders should have completed at least three similar works, each costing not less than 40% of the estimated contract cost, or two similar works, each costing not less than 50% of the estimated project cost, or one similar work costing at least 80% of the estimated contract cost in any one of the last two financial years.
Also, they should have experience in installing and commissioning at least ten fast or moderate AC/DC chargers, which should have been operational for at least six months from the date of the commissioning.
The bidder should have a minimum net worth of ₹30 million (~$365,787) based on the unconsolidated audited annual accounts of the company for the last two financial years.
Further, the net worth of bidders during the last financial year should be positive, and the profitability during the last two financial years should also be positive.
They should have a minimum working capital of ₹30 million (~$365,787) as of the last audited financial year.
According to tender documents, the charging equipment should be type tested as per AIS 138 at an Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) or National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)-accredited laboratory or any International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC)-accredited laboratories in the world.
In November last year, Pune Municipal Corporation invited proposals for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of EV charging stations for the public at designated locations in Pune.
Earlier, Brihan-Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) had invited bids to select an operator to install and operate EV charging stations by sharing the infrastructure of BEST.
