GAURA ELECTRIC TO INTRODUCE NEW ELECTRIC SCOOTERS

Tamil Nadu based Gaura Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd, an electric vehicle manufacturer and a leader in the non-registration segment, with a strong R&D foundation in the EV Industry since 2011, is preparing to launch its groundbreaking high-speed scooters.

These cutting-edge scooters represent a technological leap forward, incorporating car-grade cells that offer a lifespan of up to 8 years, setting an industry standard. The company has obtained battery pack approval from ARAI. This approval covers two capacities: 3.3 kW and an additional 1.9 kW variant (currently in development), complying with the latest AIS 156 norms in Phase 2. These certifications guarantee that the scooters meet the highest safety and quality standards, providing peace of mind to customers.

The company’s in-house battery pack production employs advanced laser technology to ensure robust cell bonding. The use of lithium ferrous phosphate (LFP) chemistry further enhances safety and reliability, making these scooters ideally suited for India’s diverse climatic conditions. Additionally, the battery packs are designed with IP 67 standards for increased safety.

The company’s upcoming product lineup includes two high-speed scooter variants: the Gaura G5 and Gaura G6. Both models offer riders the flexibility to choose from three-speed modes: Eco, Power, and Sport, catering to a wide range of riding preferences and requirements.  Features such as the State of Charge (SOC) percentage, Distance to Empty (DTE), and Time to Charge (TTC) empower riders with essential data for a seamless and confident riding experience. Furthermore, the scooters are equipped with front and rear disc brakes featuring CBS, significantly enhancing road safety.
