In a move aimed at advancing India’s electric mobility sector, two-wheeler manufacturer PURE EV has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with JioThings, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, to integrate smart digital clusters and telematics into its electric vehicles.

The partnership focuses on using IoT solutions and seamless connectivity to create an enhanced riding experience for users.

Collaboration details

PURE EV will explore the integration of JioThings’ 4G-enabled smart digital clusters, which include end-to-end IoT solutions. This setup will allow riders to monitor vehicle performance in real-time and gain useful insights for more efficient operations.

By leveraging 4G connectivity, the company aims to offer better data analytics, customization and touch-enabled features on its electric two-wheelers.

JioThings’ technology runs on AvniOS, based on the Android Open Source Project, and provides advanced features such as a full HD+ touchscreen display.

Key features and benefits

The partnership promises greater connectivity and functionality for electric two-wheelers. In addition to real-time performance tracking, the vehicles will include capabilities like hands-free voice assistance, navigation, music streaming and gaming through Jio Automotive App Suite (JAAS).

Both companies believe these innovations will help redefine the user experience and set new standards for the EV ecosystem in India. Riders will be able to stay connected, enjoy modern infotainment options and rely on robust data to manage their vehicles more effectively.
