Royal Enfield Launches Flying Flea C6, its First Electric Motorbike for Urban Riders
Royal Enfield has officially launched its highly anticipated electric motorbike, the Flying Flea C6, marking the brand’s entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market. Set to hit the roads in 2026, the Flying Flea brand aims to cater to urban riders, with the C6 model designed specifically for city riding as well as longer journeys.
Inspired by the original Flying Flea motorbike used during World War II, the new Flying Flea C6 boasts a distinctive design featuring an aluminium frame that enhances the bike’s structure. One of its standout features is a round full-colour TFT display that provides riders with essential ride data. This display is Bluetooth-enabled, facilitating seamless connectivity with a smartphone app for enhanced user experience.
Safety is a key focus for the Flying Flea C6, which is equipped with advanced features including a traction control system and cornering ABS—making it the first model from Royal Enfield to incorporate such state-of-the-art technologies.
The Flying Flea C6 represents the inaugural model in a series of urban-centric electric motorcycles developed by Royal Enfield’s global teams across India, the UK, Italy, and beyond. The electric division of Royal Enfield, comprising over 200 engineers, previously showcased its first prototype, the Him-E, in 2023, and has since secured more than 28 patents related to electric motorcycle technology.
While the specifics regarding performance, battery capacity, and motor details have not yet been revealed, Royal Enfield plans to provide these crucial specifications in the near future.
The company has also announced that the sales and distribution network for the Flying Flea models will operate independently from its existing petrol-powered motorcycle framework, signalling a significant shift in its business strategy.
