As the demand for electric scooters continues to surge in the Indian two-wheeler market, Mumbai-based Liger Mobility is gearing up to introduce its EV scooter. The company is set to launch two variants, the Liger X and Liger X+, with the latter boasting an exceptional maximum driving range of 125 km on a single charge. Furthermore, Liger X+ comes equipped with a disc brake for added safety.
While the pricing and delivery date for these scooters remain undisclosed, it is estimated that the starting price for Liger X+ will be approximately Rs 90,000. Both models are expected to showcase a fresh and contemporary design.
Liger X+ is built to accommodate a load capacity of up to 150 kg, offering the convenience of traveling up to 125 km on a single full charge. On the other hand, Liger X offers a maximum driving range of up to 80 km. These e-scooters are designed with modern features, including 4G connectivity and GPS, enhancing their functionality. Additionally, they feature distinctive design lights and alloy wheels with a larger tire size.
Notably, Liger X+ may come with turn-by-turn navigation, a premium TFT console that provides phone call and message alerts, and a user-friendly LCD display. This outstanding scooter also offers a reverse mode option and a liquid-cooled battery for optimal performance during longer journeys.
Liger X+ will face competition from the Ola S1 Pro, which is currently available with an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 1.47 lakh. The Ola S1 Pro offers an impressive range of up to 181 km on a single charge and provides consumers with a wide selection of 12 different color options. Furthermore, the scooter features LED lights and other advanced amenities, contributing to its popularity in the electric scooter market.
