MG Motor India Collaborates With Epsilon Group to Enhance EV Charging, Battery Recycling
MG Motor India has announced a strategic partnership with the Epsilon Group to bolster the electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in India, the company said in a statement. Under this alliance, MG Motor India has signed memorandums of understanding with two subsidiaries of the Epsilon Group – Power EV for advanced charging solutions and LICO for battery recycling and repurposing expertise.
Power EV is set to provide customised charging technologies for MG’s EVs, which includes a range of AC and DC chargers capable of 22kW to 120kW speeds, facilitated by Power Panel Management Software. This collaboration is part of MG Motor India’s ‘MG Charge’ initiative which aims to establish 1,000 charging points across residential communities over 1,000 days.
On the recycling front, LICO will assist MG Motor India with end-of-life battery recycling and the recovery of essential materials such as lithium, cobalt, manganese, and nickel, promoting the circular economy. The two firms will also collaborate on research and development to enhance the efficiency of recycling processes and battery second-life applications.

The partnership underscores MG Motor India’s ongoing commitment to the development of the EV ecosystem in the country, having already installed over 15,000 charging points and focusing on enhancing customer experiences through strategic industry collaborations.
