Gujarat’s electric vehicle policy targets to have 200,000 EVs on the road by 2025, including 110,000 electric two-wheelers, 70,000 electric three-wheelers, and 20,000 electric cars.

Additionally, the Policy aims to offer a comprehensive solution to the issues hindering the spread of EVs. On the one hand, it tries to raise demand by offering incentives and discounts to consumers. On the other hand, by rewarding infrastructure providers, it tries to build robust EV charging stations and also tries to encourage automakers to develop more EVs.

Also, Gujarat being the state with India’s largest lithium-ion battery plant says a lot about the state’s clear vision to support the Electric Vehicles and Battery Industry in India as much as possible.
