With the investment of an unknown amount, Zypp Electric wants to support Odysse’s nationwide expansion so that Odysse can expand its production capacities and dealer network. As part of the investment, Zypp Electric is also ordering 40,000 electric scooters from Odysse Eletric, which are to be delivered over the next three years.

Akash Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Zypp Electric, highlighted his company’s plans to deploy 200,000 electric vehicles over the next two to three years as part of its efforts to decarbonise the last mile. He pointed out that the investment in Odysse Electric aligns with Zypp Electric’s principles, as the brand demonstrates a commitment to quality and the ability to fulfil customer-specific requirements.
Founded in 2017, Zypp Electric is a technology-enabled ‘EV as a Service’ platform. The company’s goal is to make last mile logistics sustainable and emission-free. Zypp Electric‘s business model is to enable carbon-free last mile deliveries for local retailers to e-commerce giants and delivery companies, thereby reducing delivery costs and pollution. The in-house technology tracks the batteries, which can be swapped out at the Zypp exchange stations.
