About The Event

This is the Tamil Nadu Chapter of India's Biggest Electric Vehicles and Battery Industry Business Conference series by EV Update Media! An event that will help you connect, learn, network and grow!!
This event is an initiative by EV Update Media to connect the right stakeholders and decision makers from the Electric Vehicles and Battery industry and grow this sector to support the Government's released policy "Tamil Nadu Electric Vehicles Policy 2023". The key discussions at this conference will be about the most recent technological advances in the EV manufacturing, EV batteries, EV fleet management, EV charging & its infrastructure development, etc. Key state and national dignitaries will attend this event to share their perspectives on the state's overall growth in the EV sector.
Tamil Nadu has transformed into India’s leading Electric Vehicles (EV) manufacturing hub over the last five years. There is heightened interest from EV Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and component manufacturers who wish to establish their units in the State. Notwithstanding the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the State has signed MoUs with an investment interest of nearly Rs. 24,000 crore and employment potential of 48,000 jobs in the EV value chain during this period. The growth of the EV manufacturing sector in Tamil Nadu is built up on the solid foundation of automotive supply chain linkages in the State.
The Government of Tamil Nadu expects EVs to play a crucial role, especially in the electrification of last-mile connectivity. To support this goal, Tamil Nadu aims to electrify the vehicular fleets operating in the State by leveraging its vibrant automotive ecosystem comprising OEMs, auto component ancillaries, a large and highly skilled workforce, and robust R&D capabilities.
