On October 1, global automobile giant BMW launched the all-new BMW CE 02 in India, with an introductory ex-showroom price starting at Rs 4,49,900. According to a company statement, this new electric mobility solution is designed specifically for urban and city environments.
The CE 02 features a progressive design and youthful proportions, catering to a modern audience. In terms of performance, it boasts a maximum power output of 11 kW and maximum torque of 55 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 50 km/hour in just 3 seconds. The scooter is powered by a 3.9 kWh air-cooled lithium-ion battery. The all-electric BMW CE 02 is now available at BMW Motorrad India dealerships, starting from October 1.
Developed by BMW Motorrad in Munich, Germany, the CE 02 will be produced in Hosur, India, in collaboration with TVS Motor Company. Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, stated, “The all-new BMW CE 02 breaks all the rules. With its electric drive, trend-setting design, and innovative solutions, it serves as a dynamic partner for a new era of mobility.” In July, BMW Motorrad launched its latest innovation, the CE 04 electric scooter, in India, priced at Rs 14.9 lakh.
This model features two distinct colour options, including the Imperial Blue Metallic Avantgarde. The BMW CE 04 is powered by a permanent-magnet liquid-cooled synchronous motor, delivering a maximum power of 42 hp at 4,900 rpm and a peak torque of 45.7 lb-ft at 1,500 rpm.
