Zelio Ebikes has launched the updated X Men 2.0 low speed electric scooter in India. It’s priced from Rs 71,500 to Rs 91,500 (ex-showroom) depending on the variant. This comes in just months after the launch of its previous version.
The new X Men is powered by a BLDC motor. The Li-ion batteries are claimed to be fully charged in 4-5 hours, while the lead acid in about 10 hours; Zelio claims charging the batteries fully will consume 1.5 units of electricity. Irrespective of the variant, the scooter is limited to a top-speed of 25kmph, which means it won’t require a riding licence nor RTO registration of the scooter. The scooter weighs 90kg (gross), and has a payload capacity of 180kg; no word yet on its hill riding capability with full load.
The Zelio scooter has a front alloy wheel with disc brakes on both ends. The rear wheel has a hub-mounted motor. It has a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers, which should allow the ride quality to be decent.
Its features list includes anti-theft alarm, reverse gear, a parking switch, a digital display, and more. It’s available in four colours: green, white, silver, and red.
The Zelio X Men 2.0 rivals other low speed electric scooters like the Hero Electric Atria, Okinawa Lite, and Tunwal Lithino Li.
