MG Motor India has reported 18 per cent growth in total retail sales for the year 2023, reaching an impressive 56,902 units compared to the previous year.

The company’s performance in December 2023 alone saw retail sales of 4,400 units, marking a 13 per cent increase from the same month in the previous year.

This growth in 2023 marks MG Motor India’s fourth consecutive year of positive expansion, solidifying its position as a major player in the Indian automotive market.

A standout aspect of the report is the significant contribution from electric vehicle (EV) models, constituting approximately 25 per cent of MG Motor India’s total sales. This underscores a growing trend of acceptance and popularity of electric vehicles among Indian consumers.

The company’s flagship EV models, namely the ZS and the Comet, played a pivotal role in this success, collectively achieving sales of around 20,000 units.
