Through its EVLinq platform, the electric vehicle (EV) charging service provider Statiq has successfully incorporated more than 5,100 EV charging points from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) into its mobile application. This collaboration encompasses both existing and planned EV charging infrastructure from HPCL, notably including 2,900 DC fast charging units.
Electric vehicle drivers across India can now access these chargers using the Statiq app, which offers features for real-time status updates, discovery, and navigation. HPCL is expanding its EV charging presence under the Government of India’s PM eDrive scheme, leveraging its extensive network of over 23,000 fuel retail locations.
The EVLinq platform is designed for interoperability with multiple EV charging protocols and provides backend monitoring capabilities for charge point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs). This integration, as stated by the company, is expected to bolster the public EV charging ecosystem and contribute to India’s transition to electric mobility by offering consolidated access and improved visibility of available charging points.
